This is a must go to place. It has many intersting building surrounding the square and place nearby to eat. Gets busy if a fair is on especially during the summer

Great place to visit and shop, red light district is also a short walk if you're interested. Take plenty of money because it's a place you can shop and eat all day.

Busy square with old charm. Beautiful architecture all around, with lots of shopping and eateries. It can be very busy, and watch out for the trams while crossing the road.

Dam square is central to most areas, easy to reach by tram, loads of shops, restaurants and culture available to visit.

This is a huge square and depending on the day and tome, there could be so many different things going on. It’s a beautiful square with lots to look at as you wonder the whole thing. But best advice is to find somewhere to sit and just watch the world go by. Amsterdam is full of tourists so it’s great for people watching but also just to soak in the atmosphere. From the hot dog stands, to the bells ringing on the royal palace, the masses of pigeons, it’s amazing to sit and watch.
