“Lovely little cottage thoroughly enjoyed our stay”

This is beautiful little cottage perfect for two although I would say it would be a squeeze for four. Nicely kitted out with some great examples of up cycling, I especially liked the bathroom door which looked like it used to be a wardrobe door, fantastic little coffee table, made from an old metal create, and the curtain poles made from broom handles. It was all in keeping with the property and looked great. The property sits in the garden of the owners house and just a few metres away from their house. having said that it was still very private and not over looked by the main house. The bedroom was a good size, if you had a young child you could squeeze an airbed in there. The bathroom was nicely done, and the main living area adequate for a couple or small family . The kitchen was a little disappointing, there was a 4 ring gas hob on top of the fridge which was clean and worked well. A kettle, microwave, and sink but no oven, grill or toaster, there was also no cupboard space to store dry food. In addition to this there was no hot running water in the kitchen so had to keep boiling the kettle to wash up, don't worry there was hot water in the bathroom and the shower worked well. Central heating worked well and heated up the cottage very quickly once you turned the thermostat up. The owners were friendly but not intrusive, and hardly noticed they were there. They were clearly very creative and had a small art house to the rear of the property which unfortunately I did not have the time to look round. I did however spend some time looking at the dozens of sculptures around the well kept garden and particularly liked the big white bird.
Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to any one looking for a quiet getaway.
