we caught the 14 tram from the interchange outside the main station, it took 15 minutes into the suburb of oerlikon and we strolled a block to this charming place - between the chequered tablecloths and one of the waiters in traditional pantaloons its almost a costumed restaurant - almost. The ladies working there were dressed normally.
Dinner was yum - ask for an english menu if your german is non existent - you can order veal, pork or chicken schnitzels and varying accompaniments. All tasty. wine comes by hte glass or the carafe - as it should.
we totally enjoyed this place, and laughed as we said that while it may or may not be the worst schnitzel place in switzerland, it sure beats anything ever served in australia.
dinner cost us $146CHF - man, zurich is an expensive place.
