This hostel was a very good bargain for Zurich! Although, you do have to pay extra if you would like bed sheets. The hostel was very clean but the rooms were a bit small and the beds close together. Great location in the old town! About a 10-15 minute walk to the main train station and Lake Zurich. This hostel will store your bags after check out free of charge but reception is closed between 11am-3pm which can make bags trickey to access. Over all a good stay! :)

- about 10 mins walk from the train stn; can also catch a tram car next to the right-most railway track of the railway station (as you face the station after alighting the train). Fare SF 2.60
- hostel reception is located on 4th floor; no elevator, have to climb more than 50 steps to reach Reception.
- rooms are spread over 3-4 floors above the reception. There is practically no lounge - a tiny cramped area in front of the Reception room. Toilet & shower facilities are available on each floor. There is also a small kitchen on each floor with just a kitchen counter and a table with 4 chairs.
- hostel is located above a restaurant with al fresco dining, so dinner smells waft upwards and pervades the rooms above it. Hv to keep windows closed through dinner hrs so our clothes don't pick up the dinner smells.
- rooms are adequate, but not much room for your luggage, esp for those on the upper bunks. Small lockers for your valuables are available in the room. There is no fan or air con in the rooms even though the August nights were still quite hot.

Zurich is more expensive than other European cities. this hostel was best price aside from an air bnb out of the city.

clean facility, nice coed showers, good beds
sheets extra, towels extra. solid bunk beds: if one bunk bed sleeper moves the other doesn't get disturbed.

Sunday night was not too loud with street noise, though smokers -not unlike elsewhere in Europe -caused me to close window for the night anyhow.

four bed room was small but more than one power plug, and a sink/ mirror in room was nice to have.

lockers in room are small, bring your own or get a lock from reception.

reception is three flights upstairs, rooms are on that and two higher flights.

small roof deck has view of nearby roofs :-)
but a nice spot to eat rather than in the kitchen. bathroom and kitchen on each floor. kitchens have sink, cook top, fridge, microwave.
groceries available 5 min walk near train station at coop store which has nice variety including an orange juicing machine.

Swiss accomdoation is expensive but this accomodation was ok - the rooms are really hot in the summer but the bathrooms are fairly clean. Its fairly easy to reach from the train station which is nice. The rooms arent massive but they are clean - you do have to pay extra for sheets but just 3 francs whihc is not too bad i guess

The hostel is not that easy to be found, though it is quite good located. The room and also the hostel itself is really small, they don't have separated showers, in our room there was only 2 plugs for 4 people so I had to charge my phone in the common area, but at least the receptionist was kind. Not sure I'd choose it again..
