I love Vietnamese and am use to very good Vietnamese in Australia. I was surprised how good Co Chin Chin was. Modernised menu in many ways but true to Vietnamese flavour and freshness. The chicken and prawn summer rolls were as they should be but nothing to rave about. The soft shell crab main dish was delicious, wrap it up in some lettuce with the rest of the sides, mmm. The SUON BO HAM, rice dish with a beef short Rib (slow-cooked), egg, fresh vegetables and herbs is a MUST.
Great for small groups and good range of vegetarian options.
No black tea option, but proper mint tea and the ginger, lime and honey was ridiculously nice for someone who never drinks this sort of thing. And be happy there are also some good wine choices.
Be prepare to wait at the bar or book in advance.

The first time we came across this restaurant we were very excited, the second time (when we were "lucky" enough) to get a reservation, the food arrived lukewarm and staff were run off their feet, the third time we never managed to get in, and decided to try Vietnamese food elsewhere.
Agree with another review that the choice for vegetarians/pescatarians is limited, hence we ate the same dish there twice.

Zurich is full of good restaurants, we'll give this one a miss.

Its super trendy place where we couldnt get in in the evening without reservation.
Finally we sat for lunch instead.
Menu and dishes are done very well to attract anyones appetite.
I do not eat meat so decided for nuddle soup with crab balls....well ..it is in fact is a mix with chicken i learnt after i saw and tastes the ball..i was quite disappointed..but not the staff..they also took away the boulion before i allowed..simply because place was closing after lunch..
Nice traditional steamed desert with macha
The service team made mixed impression..the most polite and attentive boy was always sent away by almost arrogant female colleagues..
Overall recommendations
Book in advance for dinner
Closely enquire ingridients of yr food
Prepare to speak up to service team to get appropriate treatment
Perhaps go for another proven quality place like Yen's or so

If one day, by accident or not, you'll appear in Zürich city, take your time to visit this cozy and top quality Vietnamese place called Co-Chin-Chin. Located in a quiet and friendly neighbouhood close to the city center this restaurant will surprise you with their offered menu and atmosphere. Nice service, fresh foods and amazing combinations that will leave you dreaming about next meal at Co-Chin-Chin. And believe me, it won't take long!;)

Highly recommend!

I had been looking forward to visiting Co Chin Chin for a while now since there seems to be such a big hype about it in Zürich. The conclusion that I have come to is that it is indeed good food, definitely at Zürich prices (so on the expensive) side, and the speed at which you will receive your food shall depend greatly on luck of draw as to whom your server is (has nothing to do with how crowded the place is at the time it seems)
I would definitely recommend the spring rolls (amazing) and the summer rolls (which had very fresh herbs and were very tasty), the spare ribs and the carpaccio (which were fantastic). The noodles were good but nothing to write home about. I would suggest maybe going for more sharing type dishes and opting out of the ramen and soup style dishes. Definitely make reservations in advance especially for weekends and for dinner time. Going for brunch would be easier to achieve without a reservation but not all dishes are available.
Finally, the tables inside that are not directly in front of the door tend to get a bit warm apparently (something I can confirm personally). Maybe request a table from the few outside or something that will put you in the path of the breeze created by the door. Otherwise prepare for some walkout breaks to allow for some fresh air.
