Simple, but clean hostel with up to date bathrooms and showers. Staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing and fun. There's no guarantee that you'll get a Matterhorn view from your room, but as soon as you're in the lobby or step outside, you'll see the it--provided the weather allows!
Wifi is spotty, (but free with your room!) and comes in great in the lobby (where there is plenty of seating).
Great location, a short hike to the town (probably 15 minutes down to it, 25 minutes up [it's uphill from the town!]), and there are paths right next to the hostel to hike on.
Been three times and I'd go again in a heart beat.

Room Tip: You have a better chance of getting a Matterhorn view if you're in the main building!

Extremely clean and welcoming Hostel. Fantastic views of the Matterhorn, free wifi, and a simple, but delicious breakfast make this a tough spot to pass up for the price. Only downside is that it is a bit of a walk from "downtown" and all uphill.

This was my first hostel experience. While I can say that they are not my cup of tea, this facility was immaculately kept, has an incredible view, and represents decent value for money, especially for solo travelers. I didn't take the breakfast, as I chase to take the first train to The Gornergrat.

I stayed there yesterday and it is with great satisfaction I am writing this review. Undoubtedly the best view from the room I stayed. Staff very welcoming. Very clean and tidy. Has a locker facility as well. A bit expensive compared to other hostels but it's worth. Enjoy the breakfast buffet. Will stay next time as well.

We stayed here as a family. The three women in our family shared a room whilst I opted for a single room and the communal shower/toilet.
Overall the accom is good. Meals good value and basic.
Quite a hike to get to the hostel from the middle of town though well serviced by busses.
Hated the communal shower that turns its self off after 30 seconds presumably to save water - how very annoying though.
