The restaurant Murtaröl offers daily from 12 pm to 10 pm stunning genuine products in all its simplicity. Thanks the experienced choice of the owner’s eye, Antonio Walther it is always the quality and the freshness of the product that makes the difference on the serving plate. Huge selection of freshwater and saltwater fish let any seafood lover's heart leap for joy. From oysters in different sizes and provenance over to crustaceans and molluscs, all the way up to fish of all imaginable kinds. The kitchen has high affinity to Italian cuisine and the various perfectly fitting combinations with pasta reminds us that the Italian border is only 25 Kilometres away.
Murtaröl was built as a guesthouse and mail coach station around 1880. Until 1984, the guesthouse has blossomed as a summer activity during fishing season. After that, the property turned into a full year business and developed as a very much successful fish specialties restaurant. Today probably the best fish-outlet in the Alps. Since 1995 Murtaröl is purchased daily fresh saltwater fish and crustaceans at the fish market in Milan which is the piazza number one for fish trade in Europe.
Tip: Have a look to the fish tanks in the Aris fish sale in the back of the restaurant kitchen. Beautiful crayfish, Atlantic lobsters, dull crabs, vicious Mediterranean slipper lobsters, scampi, expensive king crabs, living mountain blue trout, smart chars and much more.
