It was my first trip to Switzerland and we spent 4 nights at the Carleton Europe. Excellent hotel and I highly recommend it.
1. 5 minute walk from the train station.
2. Excellent desk staff. They gave us lots of good tips about places to visit.
3. Super location. Right on the main street....with lots of restaurants, shops, parks. Also right across the road from the Harder Klum tram that goes to the 'Top of Interlaken'
4. Great hot breakfast every morning. Bacon, eggs, fruit.......
5. Nice restaurant in the hotel. Also very close (3 min walk) to the Café 3a. The is on the ground floor of the new hostel. Really good food, good prices, prepared as you watch.
6. We had a small balcony to enjoy the view and a beer.

Staff was wonderful—memorized my name right away, set me up with a great room knowing that EuroRail had messed up my reservation. The breakfast was amazing, plus, the second day I was there was my birthday, and the staff came out with orange slices, brownies, and a sparkler lit in one of the brownies to wish me a happy birthday—I didn’t even mention that it was! The hotel is within walking distance of the train station, right across from the Harder Kalm tram ride, next to wonderful shops and restaurants, and immediate in front of a town park that leads to hiking trails that take you to either lake on either side of town. The room was amazingly comfortable—I love how Switzerland does up their bathrooms-nice water pressure and hot water right away. The bed was so comfy as well. Nice patio attached to the room looking over the full town. You will not regret signing up with this hotel.

Very accessible - a few minutes walk from Interlaken OST station, boat cruise station and Harder Kulm cable car.

Very picturesque. The views from the room are great. You can see Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger. Amazing! Even when some days, part of them are hidden behind clouds.

Breakfast is filling with lots of choices.

F&B staff were accommodating. They'll fill up your water bottles (hot or cold water) for your daily activities. When you go back to the hotel after a day's sight seeing or shopping, there's always a refreshing pitcher of mountain water with lemon or orange in the lobby.
