+ the service, the great old grand ballroom, the setting right by the lake, the views form the restaurant and rooms, right by the bus stop which is every 15 minutes
- a bit naff in terms of taste, and currently quite expensive (thought still good value by Luzern standards); restaurants are OK though a bit overpriced in terms of the quality of the good

Room Tip: don't go for the junior suites - a bit naff and not a proper suite with 2 seperate bedrooms; well worth paying the extra for the rooms in the Chalet Gardenia

Selected the Forestview and got upgraded to Lakeview. This was the icing on the cake and ensured that the start of our stay in Lucerne was bright. The lady at the reception was extremely nice and courteous and gave us some good tips in terms of traveling within the city. We had an enjoyable stay and would love to come back here again. Directly across the lake with a view of the excellent mountain range was the best part. A little away from the down town ensures that you are away from the hustle-bustle of the city. Will recommend to my family and friends.

Room Tip: Always ask for the Lake View room. It is worth extra CHF.

This hotel is a kind of tricky: On the website it looks really nice and modern. If you arrive, the lobby is exactly like that. But then they send you to your room and it is like traveling back 30 years in time.
- Location: It is directly at the lake side. When you get the right room it is nice: 1970s taking a look at the lake. But be careful: This hotel is not downtown. So you have to take a taxi (about 20 CHR) or a bus. The bus station is directly in front of the hotel.
- Service: I had a very good experience: I asked them to call a taxi and the lady at the reception recommended that I take the bus which will leave in 2 minutes just in front of the hotel. That would be much cheaper and faster. Can’t remember the last time someone gave me such a small but nice and helpful tip.
- Room: Clean, but extremely old fashioned. Especially the bathroom hasn't been renovated for the last 30 years or so. Very small, green tiles, only a small shower.
- I wouldn't go back there since I really don't like these old fashioned hotels. What really annoys me: Showing wonderful pictures on the website - and then being send to an old crappy room.

Seeburg has a beautiful lake side view. Very nice staff and helpful too. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. And u can also take the boat to the hotel. Also close to the Transport museum. On the whole a good hotel.

Room Tip: Request for a lake view room. Otherwise, you will only get a side view of the lake.
