Nice welcome and good care by the reception. The welcome drink will be a glass of champagne.
The hotel "Innere Enge" is located on a peripheral, exceptional, very quiet location in Bern.
Easily accessible from the highway, but also by bus (10 minutes from the main train station) - the stop is practically in front of the house. For the public transport, you get a free ticket for the duration of the stay. The rooms to the garden and the wonderful Art Nouveau restaurant, which also serves as a breakfast room, have a fantastic view of the city and the whole panorama of the Bernese Alps.
The "Innere Enge" radiates something of the glamour of past (jazz) times, but is very well-kept and pleasant. Stayed in the Dizzy Gillespie Junior Suite. The room and bathroom were very clean, spacious and equipped with every comfort. Practical would be a few additional sockets in the room.
The room rate goes for the offered, but moves at the upper limit. The added breakfast buffet was tidy and offered an appealing selection. If one includes the unique prospect in the offered range of services, the price is appropriate. Yes ... Bern is expensive. Not just the "innere Enge".
However, all in all a thoroughly positive experience. Particularly noteworthy is the very pleasant friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Thanks, we’re coming back!More
