When you get off the tram, walk across the street and go around the hotel on the right side sidewalk to find the front door. If you go to the left, you will come in on the upper floor which is a Japanese Restaurant. If you do come in here, just go down the stairs on the right and it will take you to the lobby. Our check-in was smooth and we were able to leave our luggage in storage until our room was available.
Rooms were modern and, as expected, small. Closet and fridge were hidden away for a sleeker look and the bathroom walls were frosted glass. They were not particularly sound-proof, so hopefully you're close with whomever you're sharing a room with :)
In the basement of the building there was a small lap style pool and small workout area with a bike and treadmills. The morning continental breakfast was basic, but good.
This location is conveniently on a tram stop...it's about 15 minutes from the downtown area. While the view was nothing special, it was a perfectly quiet area and affordable modern hotel in Bern.More
