Early in Oct 2002, we went to the last flea market of the season.
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and this was a wonderful opportunity to observe the wares.
There were 7 of us, ranging in age from 3 - 51.
Everyone came away holding at least one treasure they were well pleased with.
Tonka Tractor $9.00
Full Length leather coat $20.00
Collector's plates, porcelain & crystal $50.00
Leather packpack $7.00
The vendors are friendly, honest & have lots to offer. Don't be afraid to look through the free merchandise.
Closer to closing, there are lots more free things! My host scooped up a matching set of 10 fondue plates. FREE!
Next, you are a short stroll from the Rhine river. Stash your flea market finds in your vehicle.
Next , you can end the afternoon with roasted chestnuts, or a relaxing coffee at an open air cafe, followed by a ferry ride across the river .
Complete with a real ferryman on a small boat propelled by currents, ropes and paddle!!
Climb the stairs to the Cathedral. Wander about looking at the date, names, angels & gargoyles.
Stroll through the old city and return to the Flea Market location.
Saturdays, not in the winter
Public parking nearby.
