Had an outstanding lunch the other day at La Taverna. Every time we come to Perugia we make sure La Taverna is on our schedule. The food + service were wonderful. We started with tasty liver pate on toasted bread along with a caprese with creamy burrata. Then sea bass on a bed of mashed potatoes (beautiful presentation) while my dining companion had ravioli with spinach pesto. Ummm! We skipped dessert but La Taverna treated us to homemade chocolate liqueurs. A great fit considering Perugia was staging their annual EuroChocolate festival. One of our favorite restaurants in Italy impeccably run by Chef Claudio. Bravo, Signore Chef!
