Our stay was for 3 nights. We were welcomed by the owner Gabriella who gave us good recommendations for restaurants and sites to see. Our room was clean and in good order. The view was incredible and the windows opened for cool air at night. Breakfast was served each morning. The location is central for all locations and makes for a short walk in the evening after dinner back to the hotel. If you have difficulty with hills, Assisi can be a challenge and this hotel's location is no exception. We took the bus from the train station which dropped us off at the city gate and we had to pull our luggage up the hill to the hotel. Because we traveled exclusively by train/public transportation we were used to this. My recommendation is that if this is challenge for you, take a taxi from the train station and have them drop you off on the street above the hotel. That way you only have to take your luggage down a few steps to the hotel. On the last day of our stay, we heard an upset customer arguing with the owner. It was clear that this person had very little travel experience in Europe had unrealistic expectations. It is a great hotel. We recommend it and would stay there again in heartbeat.More
