Wonderful place, beautiful grounds. I visited several years ago and stayed in the tower, which was fabulous....this time in a newer room. I do wish that they had a restaurant, and the grounds used to be beautiful....they've toned it down too much. But a very enjoyable stay.

This was our second trip to Casanova di Pescille, and it was just as we remembered. It is the perfect Tuscan getaway, and the new addition of the restaurant meant we didnt even need to leave the grounds at night. I totally disagree with the review who said Roberto was unhelpful, the first year we stayed we travelled by train and had no idea how to get to the hotel (it is quite a distance from San G), we telephoned roberto who a few minutes later came to pick us up!! They are a lovely family who are extremely welcoming. The rooms are cosy and clean. The grounds and swimming pool are quiet and perfect for a relaxing break away from it all. It is also a perfect base to explore the delights of the rest of Tuscany. We fully intend to go back in 2010!!

Casanova di Pescille was by far the best place we stayed in Italy. It exceeded our expectations in every way. This converted farmhouse 2 kilometers outside of town has a lovely view of the towers of San Gimignano. There is a spacious patio with an honor bar, where guests can purchase wine, olive oil, and honey produced on this working farm. Just select a bottle of white or red, write your name in the ledger, grab a couple of glasses, and sit on the patio or in chairs strategically placed throughout the property to maximize the gorgeous view. Each room also has a private patio. Or, sit by the pool! The rooms were perfect- spacious by europeon standards and charmingly decorated to preserve the look and feel of the original farmhouse. Each room also has a refrigerator, safe, and private bath. The farmouse is run by Roberto and his daughter, who are readily available to assist and answer all your questions. Not only does Roberto run the inn, but we saw him in the kitchen, along with the singing Italian chef, during both breakfast and dinner. His delightful daughter waits tables at dinner. The small restaurant is more than adequate for the guests, with a surprising variety of pastas and local delicacies such as wild boar and t-bone steak on the menu. We ate there both nights, and everything we tried was delicious. The breakfast buffet is generous, with an egg poacher available, as well as a meat and cheese plate, in addition to the usual pastries and coffee. We stayed two nights and could have stayed several more days. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The only drawback is that the inn is 2 kilometers from town down a winding, hilly road with no shoulder to walk into town. Roberto and his chef ended up serving as our personal taxi service during the two days as there were no taxis available in town. While they were very generous in doing so, we felt it was an inconvenience and prefer to be more independent. The town itself was lovely but very crowded with tourists during the day.

We love this place, quiet, beautiful and local vino. Wandering amongst the olive trees and grape vines are a blessing. The food is really good too, recommend zuppa funghi.

Liked: Nicely restored buildings, comfortable average sized room, pool
Disliked: Boring & unhelpful manager Roberto, shower, breakfast, grumpy dog

After reading the reviews we had great hopes for our stay here in Tuscany however it turned out to be the only dud of the 6 B&B’s we booked for our trip to Italy. The main reason for this was unfortunately due to the management. Do not expect anything apart from your key on entry and receipt upon departure from Roberto. Also the water pressure in the shower is ridiculously low.

Dear friend, we regret that it was not satisfied, we will try to improve thanks to his review. We would like to please everyone, unfortunately I see that it is impossible, but it is rightly so. We try to leave the tranquility and peace absolutely our guests as if they were at home, of course if they have information and question (of all) have always been available, just ask and if there is to solve problems (such as the water pressure of
Room or more) just to experience, there are 24 technicians 24 hours a ready to intervene. Thanks to Casanova Pescille
