Mara is a very nice lady who offered to pick me up at the Pisa Airport and waited after I got a little lost. I do appreciate that especially after a very long flight, but honestly it went down hill from there. The apartment itself was quite clean and nice for more than one person. I may have enjoyed it more if there hadn't been 3 noisy cats on the patio whining and meowing to get in all night. Mara asked me to feed the cats the next morning before my walking tour (which was fabulous) and I returned the favor for picking me up. I will be completely transparent...I don't like cats. The bed was kind of a converted couch with couch pillows not bed pillows. Finally, it is near the train station but in a neighborhood behind it, and there wasn't much around to have a bite to eat. As I am traveling solo, I like to be closer to the center of towns so I can get out in the evening and the convenience of walking to sites, shops and restaurants. I slept so poorly the last night, I got up at 3 am to take my shower to leave. I think part of the problem is Mara speaks NO English, and it was very difficult to communicate even with my little Italian. I gave it an average because I think she is renting out her own place for the money and stays with her brother when she has a guest. No I would not stay here again for the above reasons.
The apartment is excellent, with great location, between the train station and the airport.
Mara is a great host and made sure that we receive everything we needed during our stay.
I highly recommend this rental.
