We stumbled upon the place by sheer luck. Very friendly and helpful staff - they translated the menu for us and helped us choose. Our children loved the ravioli that we chose as starters. Excellent carpaccio as main course, the rabbit was succulent (but came with no side dishes - which is ok). Fast service.
The house wine was very good.
We rounded up the menu with tiramisu and panna cotta (with chocolate sauce).
All in all a very satisfying lunch - excellent value.

I come to Italy every hear and to stop at Osteria Omo Bono is a must!
I can always find : Baccala con I Porri, Brachette alla Renaiola, Coniglio in Padella.
These are dishes that reminds me when I was child.
Friendly people excellent atmosphere.
Great price.
The food is just like home, some times even better.
Highly recommend.

On our last night in Pisa, myself and a friend chose to eat her for dinner based on the reviews we read on Trip Advisor. The restuarant is very cosy inside, but I guess that means you get more attention from the waiting staff! The menu we were presented with was only available in Italian, which was nice and authentic, but I did have to use Google translate on my phone to decide what I wanted. There was one antipasti available which we had to share which was a delicious spread of various things. For the main, there were several pasta first courses, and several meaty secondis. My friend had a lovely spinach and ricotta ravioli, while I tried the rabbit. The rabbit was yummy, but I was naiive that it might be served with something, or with a sauce - I just had a plate of rabbit legs and breasts. It was delicious nonetheless. We both then had Tiramasu for dessert. This placed seemed popular with the locals and the tourists, and we had a lovely evening meal here, and would recommend it for authentic Italian cuisine, and friendlly service.

If Tripadvisor had existed 35 years ago, the top place to eat in Pisa would've been La Stanzina. Sadly, Simona sold it to someone who sold it to someone who... etc, and now it's just another plastic eatery. Thank goodness the Trattoria Sant'Omobono has come to fill in the gap (and just around the corner, too...). This has to be the friendliest, least pretentious place to eat in Pisa. The interior is fascinating, like plunging back into the 12th century coupled with a 1950s trattoria and very friendly staff. The pasta alla renaiola is excellent and authentic, the gnocchi were excellent and the cod was perfection. The pasta with porcini was only so-so, but more than anything the presentation was perfect - no nouvelle cuisine nonsense, just good honest plates with good honest portions, excellent house wines, real 'canteen' wine glasses (no stupid stemmed glasses to knock over) and frankly, for 10 euro a head... in the most picturesque square in Pisa? Can't do better than that
