Got taxi from train station to the hotel and glad we did as it is fairly well tucked away up a quiet side street in the heart of Lucca. We only booked one night as a bit of a whistle stop tour of Tuscany and travelled from Florence arriving around 11am. The reception staff were very friendly and welcomed us warmly along with an introduction to the geography of Lucca old town.
our room was charming and full of character married together with all the modern amenities you could desire in a hotel.
The highlight was the breakfast which was taken in the open air courtyard and consisted of fresh honey still on the comb and fresh fruit and pastries along wuth fresh juices, all in all very agreeableMore
