Nice, simple and clean hotel with a pretty good breakfast (costs extra) next to the train station with easy access to the sites of Livorno. Desk staff was exceptional! Very helpful and humorous. Enjoyed the visit and appreciated the guidance!

Very chic 3* with charming staff.

Nice room and good, clean, modern en-suite.

Nice little bar and breakfast room.

Continental breakfast at €2.50 was a bargain.

Women who runs the place is lovely.

Absolutely superb little hotel.

Only negative thing is the beds. They're rock hard.

We arrived at the Hotel after driving all afternoon. The woman who checked us in was extremely helpful -- she was the highlight of our stay at the Hotel. She gave us a recommendation for a light dinner, printed out the schedule for the train to Florence and helped us get situated. The next morning we had breakfast (an extra 5 Euros) which was adequate. We walked to the train station and headed to Florence for the day.

We returned early evening and asked for a dinner recommendation for the man who was working the desk since the evening before had been so good. Big mistake, his recommendation was the worst meal we had in 13 days in Italy.

The room was small but clean. It had the basics. Wifi connection was very good. If you're looking for a place to stop and sleep, or to use as a hub for train travel to other locations, the Hotel Stazione meets that requirement. If you want more, keep looking.

Turned up in Livorno an just tried this hotel as the first one, but as it turned out to be a great hotel, the reception staff on all days we stayed were a great help with where to eat what to visit and of course the free Italian lessons..Haha, thanks. The room was just what we needed and at the front so you could watch the world go by, breakfast each day set you up for a full days exploring either round Livorno or for 13 euros off to Florence, 5 euros to Piza by train that was a 5 minute walk away..Thanks again to all the staff for making our stay very pleasant..PS their biker friendly as well :-)

Room Tip: Rooms have A/C and faced the road to watch the world pass by when you had 5 mins before going out

Every year my friend and I travel to Italy to watch a football match, so I have a good idea of what Italian hotels are like.
Room - fantastic, possibly the best we've stayed in. Large, warm, impeccably clean, great bathroom. Window onto main road, so a little noisy, but wasn't an issue
Location - depends what you want. Excellent for the station, so as we arrived and departed by train to Pisa, great for us. But.... 25-30 mins walk to Central Livorno, another 10 at least to the waterfront. So decide what suits you best.
Breakfast - the only downer. The worst of all the hotels we've stayed at - mainly due to the very limited choice - no hot food, no ham/cheese etc. Only one hot drink, and a choice from a small bar, mainly pastries, biscuits and bread. No cereal.
Overall I'd give the hotel 3.5/5, and would have marked it 4.5 if the breakfast had been good. Location is an issue depending on what you want to do, and how long you are staying in Livorno
