This hotel is very convenient for those who travel by car and also for those who travel by train. Those who travel by car will have a spacious parking and those who travel by train has around 10 minutes of walking from the train station.

Important notification for travelers coming by train: Google Maps provides wrong information stating that there is 1.8 km and around 30 minutes which is incorrect. When you come out of the train don’t go to the official bus station of Livorno, but on the opposite side towards parking. And from there you really have less then 1km.

Even though Livorno is not such a special city, even ugly one, from here you can easily reach different beaches, cities, regions. Hotel location is very well connected with other places no matter if you travel by bus, train or car.

Speaking about the Hotel, I don’t know where to start and what to underline firstly :) Starting from the not so great first impression by the surrounding, I have to say that the receptionist was “guilty” for our decision to stay there all 4 days even before seeing the room. All receptionists were more than helpful by providing different information we asked for (and we had thousands of questions). Some of them were providing own suggesting and some great ideas for small local beaches, better transport connections, really trying to make our stay wonderful. After seeing the room, we definitely decided to stay there all the time, even that we were offered not only to cancel the reservation, but also to help us to find another accommodation!!!!!

The room was nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable, modern design, big bed. Bathroom was great! Big one with tub and enough shelves for two girls to put all bottles :)

Very nice restaurant where you can enjoy yummy breakfast – for only 5 euro you can have really rich buffet breakfast and tasty coffee and cappuccino. I noticed that many people had dinner, we didn’t try but the smell was great. Additional charges apply for dinner of course.

I would really be happy to find more hotels like this.

The hotel is located at the city limits of Livorno, close to a big shopping mall and the highways. Its location makes it ideal as a basis for a Tuscany trip by car. The rooms are very modern and clean but don’t have any “soul”. It’s a typical chain hotel for business travelers. The breakfast was yucky (e.g. one sort of ham, yucky toast, adamant rolls, disgusting scrambled eggs and fried ham) and the same every day. The staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful. Despite its good location I can’t recommend it and we’ll definitely won’t come back.

rooms modern, clean, good breakfast. Wifi is terrible, took forever to get an Ip address, but then working. could not make it work on one phone. as well its per device and reception was not eager to provide more logins(everyone has at least 2 devices per room). )location is ugly but it was expected. its suitable for one overnight stay and carry on - and serves it perfectly.

Rooms are clean and large. Nice bathroom with sufficient towels.
Bed is nice and confortable. The TV set is coming from the last century and the internet access is a nightmare.
Breakfast is amazing, but good.
A bad point is the 2 lifts. You can wait up to 20' when the hotel is full.
The hotel surounding is just catastrophic

Room tip: Far from lifts

The Hotel MAX is a very contemporary hotel;clean and comfortable. Easy 10 minute walk to the train station with a shopping center steps away. The restaurant serves very good food. THEY TURN OFF THE A/C AT NIGHT. We opened the window to get a breeze and the ledge was covered by spiders!!! They offered to move us to the cooler side of the hotel but we were completely unpacked and just toughed it out. They never mentioned this deal breaker. The lights in the hall are motion activated which being in the dark was strange. The Kleenex comes in tiny pouches of five each.NO hangers with skirt clips in the entire hotel. I guess they do not think women travel. Conservation of energy must be their mantra.

Room tip: Chose a room on the other side of the building away from the entrance.
