Four of us - two adults and two teenagers - stayed here for three nights in June. Deanna was always very prompt and kind in replying to our questions and she was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived. She was patient and spent the time needed with us to explain all of the amenities in the apartment as well as to give us recommendations for where to go in the neighborhood.
Deanna is also very thorough and professional. She had a one-page rental agreement that was simple, accurate and appropriate. She also took photos of our passports to include when she registered our stay with the Italian police. Yes, that is the law in Italy. Fortunately, I had already read about this requirement on the US Department of State Passport website. Otherwise, I might have been a little freaked out.
The apartment was beautiful! The photos do not do it justice. It is very spacious and modern. There are 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The water pressure was very good and there was enough hot water for all of us to shower. The bathrooms were all nicely sized with modern fixtures. The living area and dining nook were very spacious and nicely decorated. The sofa pulls out into another bed, but we did not need to use it. The full kitchen was very modern and had all of the amenities that you need. There was a washing machine that worked well even on a good sized load, but no dryer. There was a clothes line on the balcony to dry the clothes.
There were three air conditioning units. One in the living room and one in each bedroom. They worked great and were nice to turn on after sightseeing on 90 degree days! Deanna said that she had recently begun charging based on the usage of electricity and gas but since that was not in any of our communications, she did not charge us that way.
While it did not bother us, I will point out that the apartment is on the third floor and the building does not have an elevator. Also, the wifi was a little slow and sometimes temperamental.
The location was great! It is only two blocks from the central market and the leather goods market and you can walk almost everywhere in the city. There is a supermarket nearby and a number of places to pick up a quick bite to eat. But eat at least one night at La Burrasca (make reservations) right across the street from the central market! The food, drinks and service in this little 11 table restaurant were phenomenal!
Check also went very smoothly. Deanna was right on time, even though she had hurt her back. We could tell that she was in pain, but she climbed the stairs with her cleaning lady, helped us call for a taxi and bid us a fond farewell. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and will stay there again when we return to Florence! Thank you, Deanna!
We rented this apartment for 3 weeks to visit my daughter who is studying in Florence. The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It is exactly as pictured. The location was great for sightseeing and close to the train station. The neighborhood felt safe and there were many cafes and restaurants closeby as well as a grocery store. Deanna, with the booking company, was extremely friendly and helpful. The owner, Sandro, was excellent and responded immediately when we had an issue with the hot water heater (the breaker tripped-I hate to mention this because we had no issues whatsoever but it showed his commitment in making sure our stay was perfect). We would definitely rent the apartment again.
