“Amazing experience”
Reviewed 4 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The location was amazing. We were within walking distance of everything from restaurants to shopping to the Duomo and David. I couldn't have asked for better.

The apartment is exactly as it is pictured.

I want to address a couple of issues others had with the unit. Noise-what do you expect when you are in the heart of a vibrant city. There will be some noise.

We didn't have any issues with the breakers and we ran the air conditioner at all times.

Lastly our host was wonderful. He was there when we arrived and even called us a cab for an early morning flight out.

“Power kept tripping”
Reviewed 3 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My husband and myself and another couple stayed here for five nights. Location was very convenient and place was comfortable and newly refurbished, BUT the power kept tripping when you used the washing machine or kettle when the air conditioning was on. It tripped when we used the oven as well. It was a major problem. It was very very hot when we arrived so air conditioning was something we wanted, along with use of washing machine. First night we had no hot water to shower with. They sent someone around to fix it immediately, apparently the power tripping had affected the thermostat. The tradesman was very helpful and cleaned all air conditioning filters as they were not working very well.

“Mrs”
Reviewed 19 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We arrived late on Monday night and a very friendly and understanding Isabella was there to meet us and check us in. Of course there was
a late check in fee of €30. You can get there from Florence airport by taxi. Trip was £28 for five of us.. Included night charge and taxi for five charge. Not too bad. It was a good stay all in all. The only few things are it can get quite warm in the loft room in summer and mosquito can get quite vicious in the kitchen if you are sleeping on the sofa bed there. Mosquito repellant (plug in) were provided.. Make sure you turn them on before going to bed. The other room downstairs is better as long as you keep the sliding door closed. Owner Tommaso was out of town so we did not get to meet him. He did give us a ring to check if everything was ok.
All in all.. Good stay and convenient location.

“Wonderfully Located!”

We stayed at the apartment for the Easter long weekend, which was a very cool experience.

The apartment is in an excellent location. It is 5 minutes from the market, 5 minutes from the Accademia Gallery, and less than 10 to the Duomo. We walked from the train station to the apartment with our luggage and it was about 10-15 mins away. Easier for us than waiting for a cab.

The kitchen has tons of dishes and cookware, and the washing machine in the bathroom worked well. I'd never used one like it, but it worked!

Cecilia, who met us at the apartment, was very friendly and helpful. Tomasso was quick to respond to emails and pleasant to communicate with.

The reason why we haven't given the apartment a perfect score is because of the noise. Maybe it was because we were there over a major holiday, but it was extremely loud at night with people shouting in the streets and early in the morning when people where wheeling luggage and the workers at the market were wheeling carts. This is the payoff though for staying in a prime location, and can be solved by wearing earplugs.

The only "common area," is the kitchen. You have the option of sitting at the table, or on the futon. For us, this was a bit awkward with a baby, because everything is very open. That being said, the loft area is really cool, and the bed up there is super comfy. The curtain kept it completely dark, so you aren't woken up by the sun (just by your 8 month old. ha ha).

Would recommend for 3-4 people but not for 6, because you'd have to use the futon in the middle of the kitchen.

Liked best: Location and loft
Liked least: Noise and lack of couches/social space
