Arriving on the overnight train from Milan, we were very weary & keen to check in etc. A very lovely young woman on reception was very helpful, organised a coffee for us & wifi while we waited for a room. We were very grateful for an early check in & went to explore Firenze from this superb location. It is such a pity that what began as a very good experience deteriorated in the evening. We were woken many times during the night by either outside noise or the sound of keys as other guests were entering or leaving their rooms. Breakfast was also disappointing in terms of the range & freshness of the food on offer.

Room tip: We were in Room 1. It wouldn't matter which room you were in. The doors are so close together that entry/exit noise travels between them.

I was very impressed with the room. The carved furniture added to the beauty of the room. The caretaker was a great guy. He was very helpful in all situations.

The view from the roof was excellent. The breakfast was great as well. In the breakfast room they played the tourist guide program of Florence. We got a good knowledge about the city watching it.

Cons - 1. There is a steep climb of 3 floors.
2. The washroom was extremely small. I could hardly move my hands around in the shower cubicle.

My first trip to Europe - fabulous start arriving in Florence to Percy greeting me at the door which after other reviews was easy to find.

Room was delightful - beds comfy, ample storage, window that opens, aircon efficient. Only criticism was shower a little small and water pressure low but building is old and advantages far outweigh. And sure there are steps - 6 lots to the 3rd floor but didn't detract from stay and Percy will carry your luggage up and down. He let us store the luggage till our train ride and gave us late check out.

Percy was always helpful and efficient eager to answer any questions. Nothing too much trouble. His wife is very pleasant although had minimal contact with her.

Brekky included - continental. View spectacular from breakfast room and rooftop.

Location easy walk to main attractions in Florence and lots of eateries close by.

If you are looking for an affordable B and B this is one for your list!

Fabulous little b & b right in the heart of Florence. Percy and the team were friendly and could not do enough to make sure our trip was the best ever. Now we have found this gem we will use it again and again! Just need to mention the stairs. This gem is two flights up but does have spectacular views from the balcony and terrace. Worth it!!

What a great little family run place. Clean and very well located near train station and central market. Only issue is that they are on the 3rd floor of a building; however, given the owner carried our very heavy luggage up the stairs we had no complaints. Would highly recommend it.
