We arrived in Florence in the mid afternoon and went to find the hotel. You need to check in at a different hotel down the street from where you actually are staying. This was fine except that hotel is behind a locked door and I buzzed the doorbell 3 times and no one answered. It wasn't until someone was coming out that we got in. The lady at the front desk was rude and tried to tell me that I was in the wrong place because she was fully booked. I told her it was for the Florence Room and she rolled her eyes at me and then checked me in.

The receptionist asked another lady to show us to our room, which was just a short walk down the street. The lady who took us was lovely and helped my mum to carry her luggage up the stairs.

The rooms are behind another locked door that only occupants of the building have the keys to. There is a small elevator on site which is great for your luggage but the hotel is only up two flights of stairs.

Our room was very small so it was quite tight with the luggage of two people. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a window to open for fresh air. One problem is the curtains are made from a thin fabric and the light came in early in the morning, waking you up. There were two wall plugs in the bedroom however none of them worked so we had to use the one in the bathroom to charge devices.

The bathroom was a bit poor. There was mould on the walls and the walls of the shower itself. Water pressure wasn't great but it was usable.

Breakfast came at a time that suited you. It consisted of a croissant and a roll with various spreads, an apple and a yoghurt.

This place is in a great location, close to many restaraunts and very close to the train station. Probably would look for somewhere a bit nicer to stay if I were to come again.

Room Tip: If it rains close the window because mosquitoes came inside.

- Beautiful , big and clean rooms
- Nice balcony facing road (atleast our room had)
-very near to main station, but still a very quite area
- lots of restaurants and shopping places around
- nice service and helpful staff
- limited but sufficient breakfast (served in room at desired time)

- The check-in happens at another place which is like 100 meters from this place. If you have large bags (as we did in our case), it is a bit of tiring to drag those till the checkin place, and again back to the actual staying place. Not to forget the extremely small lifts which add to the exercise.
- WiFi signal was bit week. Not sure if it was a temporary problem.

My Take: If you prefer staying close to main station , I would certainly recommend this hotel.

There are many B&Bs in Florence with the word 'ROOMS" in their title. Be careful. i usually stay at Four Rooms which is near all the visitor attractions but booking .com screwed up and put me in this one. Like all the other 'ROOMS' it is basically an apartment in an apartment block where the rooms have been made ensuite. this one is cheap and cheerful with nice staff but it's in the wrong place-- near the station and a long way from the centre of the main attractions.

Dear guest,
our B&B is not basically, it's has a long activity story in which a lot of people have had a god stay and have made a good review.
Usually all B&B are inside a normal appartment, our B&B is e good way to stay in Florence without spend a lot of money.
Best regards

On the top floor with lovely view over the rooftops of the city. Five rooms available. Lovely clean, quiet (at least when I was there) pretty room, with a comfy bed - probably a little short for anyone over 6ft. Shower won't work for you if you are a little round, as its a tight fit. You get given a number of colour-coded keys (street entrance, lift, B&B entrance, room key , safe) to add to the adventure. Note that owners are not onsite overnight (thought I'd mention that in case that bothers you) but are just a phone call away. Lovely kind descent people. You get given some cards to take downstairs to the cafe for a free breakfast. Good coffee and food.

The check in for Florence Room is actually a few doors down at no. 17 Via Fiume. The host then brings you to your room at no. 1 Via Fiume and gives the key.
Florence Room's location is a two minute walk to Station Santa Maria Novella and a five minute walk to the Duoma.
The room itself was a twin room with two single beds, a TV, wardrobe, balcony with chairs, small table and chairs in the room and ensuite with shower.
The cost of the room €45 per night is very reasonable given how central and clean the place is. As it is in the centre of Firenze, there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
We did not avail of the breakfast.
I would highly recommend Florence Rooms for convenience!
