Loved this apartment with its 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Was extremely quiet and while it might make you think it's too far away from the city centre if you look at a map, rest assured it's literally a few minutes'
walk from the Ponte Vecchio
and the rest of "old" Florence. Mery & her husband are very sweet and accommodating, it's clear they care about their
clients. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this apartment again!
The apartment has two extremely small bathrooms, 3 good sized bedrooms and a generous sized kitchen/dining/living area with a refurbished kitchen. While clean and comfortable, everything is dated. Not modern, but homely.
Owners run a shop downstairs and are very helpful and friendly.
Even though it was a very short stay we found the apartment to be in a great location. Within walking distance to all sights especially the Ponte Vecchio and Pitte Palace. Close to all amenities and restaurants. The apartment itself is spacious with three bedrooms which was great as there was 5 of us travelling together. The apartment was very clean and surprisingly quiet. Enjoyed our stay.

While this is a great location, and while the apartment is a clean, secure comfortable home away from home- Mery and Salvatore, the owners, are the real stars. They are very helpful- better than a concierge - as they know the town personally. You will arrive with guidebooks and lists of things to do. She will smooth the bumps and divert disasters. She has a great network of guides, drivers, and knows the city as only a local business owner would. So this is a bonus over all else in this apartment.
The kitchen is well stocked for medium complexity cooking. And has a nice set of China for serving. The coffee maker uses cone style filters.
There is a nice drying rack that will let you dry a suitcase full of clothes at once- with some thought. And the washer is fine- but small by US standards. On my latest 10 day trip- I did well with three changes of clothes. This makes travel much lighter.
The beds and living room are comfortable- not high luxury. But they aren't meant to be your highlights of Florence.
At night you are behind 3 locks- and very safe. In the day your landlords are very available. A great arrangement.
While I could easily stay at the Four Seasons, I prefer this apartment in this neighborhood. I want to leave with a feel for life in the town. And you get that here- unlike the insulation of a hotel. When I go back - here is where I will stay. And perhaps- so should you!
the location is fantastic. even with the grandparents we could walk everywhere. the apt has the basics. some aspects are a bit old/worse for wear, but whenever we had a problem it was solved promptly. polenty of space.
