Awesome place, great shower, comfy bed, best location. Virtually across the road from main train station. We had a balcony so used it to good effect. Cleaner noticed we had an open bottle of chianti, so left us two wine glasses the next evening. That's a nice touch. We will stay again when nect in Florence.

We stayed at the Old Florence Inn Bed and Breakfast for five nights in May. The location was wonderful - a short walk from the train station and very close to a number of sights, markets, restaurants, etc. We requested and received two 'balcony' or terrace rooms which overlooked the street below. We truly enjoyed watching the action with a bottle of wine, cheese and snacks. We had no problems (as some reviews mentioned) with any street noise, as the hotel has a sound proof awning in addition to the regular doors, which created a great sleeping atmosphere. The room was a good size (the largest we had while traveling) and the bathroom, though small, was adequate. The only improvement needed would be the inroom packaged breakfast, as others have mentioned. The lift is very small, so be prepared to use the stairs. We appreciated Mr. Florio's helpfulness with maps, restaurants, sights, etc. Overall, we had a very nice stay and would recommend the B & B highly!

Room tip: Request a terrace room.

Stay 2 nights at this B&B, the place is clean and very well soundproofed. Owner is helpful and the location is just 2mins away from the train station. It takes only 15mins to walk to the main sights.

Literally around the corner from the train station, it is very convenient if you come by train. However, we came by car and that was also no problem as they have a valet service who picked up and parked our car for the duration of our stay at 24euro per day, 1euro cheaper than if I paid for it myself at the garage down the street. Breakfast was a little disappointing as it was packaged croissants, toast and jam, but sufficient as there was a number of cafes nearby and even a grocery store next door for fresh fruits and veggies. The B&B is upstairs, but there is a lift, so that was no problem after a long day of touring the city. We were provided some good restaurant recommendations, both at reasonable prices. The room was very clean, but the shower could use some clorox as there was some mold in the tiny shower area. The balcony overlooks the street but we didn't hear much as the doors are soundproof. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here.

Perfect except for late night street noise if you are a light sleeper as the location is spot on for train travellers. Easy two minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station.
