Stayed here for a few days, location is okay, 10 minutes with public busservice to centre of beautiful Firenze. Breakfast is not included but for € 4 you can eat as much as you want. Every evening buffet = eat as much as you can for € 6 inc 1 drink. If you wish vegetarian food just ask for it and they prepare it for you. Drinks are € 2, and cocktails too. Staff is very friendly and helpfull, english spoken. No curfew, Wifi is free, adaptor for power is necessary. Really enjoyed my stay here and will be back for sure,

I went there in the beginning of August of 2011in a 6bed dorm and i had a very nice time. Is true that is far away from the center but they told us that there is a bus (or buses) that goes until the center. I didn't use it because all the times i went on foot (the weather was good and it was maximum 30 min from the duomo). The stuff was very friendly with me and my friend, the people hanging out there were cool and there is a very beautiful yard, where you can drink or eat!
Furthermore my room was clean and also the bathroom i was using, even though it seemed quite old (the bathroom especially).
In the price there is no breakfast included but i found it so cheap, considering that i am in florence-summer and comparing to other prices i've seen in other places in italy, that this was not a problem for me.
The only problem i could find is that they had, the period i went there, only one computer with internet for common use from all the people staying there and you had to wait in a long queue to check for example your mail. There was an other computer as well but there was a problem and the people there were complaining that they were not fixing it. Apart from that everything else was more than ok for me.

This place is really far from the centre but is the only affordable hostel we could find in Florence. We dont mind a long walk but if you do, then probably look for somewhere else.

The receptionist was not very friendly, kind of nice if you got talking to her but they don't go out of their way to help you. Don't give you maps unless you ask, and don't tell you anything about the city.

They don't have cooking facilities but do have a fridge, microwave and kettle. They must have plates because they offer a breakfast and dinner buffet service, but they won't let you use them if you're making you're own food. I can understand this when it's the height of the summer and is really busy, but we stayed in November and there was only about 2 other guests.

The first problem with this place is that its REALLY COLD! The heating didn't work (apparently was being fixed on the day we left..... Hmmm) but they lent us a heater for our room. God knows what the other guests did.

The other bad thing is there are bed bugs. We thought we were getting bitten by mosquitoes but it was only happening when we were in our freezing cold bedroom.

On the plus side, because there was no one else in the hostel when we arrived, they gave us a private room instead of the 10 bed mixed dorm we had booked.

We stayed four nights at Hostel 7 Santi - 3 in a 4 bed dorm without bathroom, and 1 night in a 4 bed dorm with bathroom (at the last minute we extended our stay by a day). The room without bathroom was spacious and clean with two bunk beds. All the doors are really hard to open but it's not a big deal. The room with bathroom was much smaller, and there were two standalone beds plus one bunk, rather than 2 bunk beds.

Shared bathrooms were clean - there were 4 showers and 5 toilets - only downside is there was nowhere dry to put your things when you showered. Oh, and the toilets/showers are male and female - not separated, so you might be showering next to the opposite sex. If that's weird for you, I'd recommend the dorm with bathroom.

The building itself is a massive, old, shabby building (think an old convent) with really high ceilings - so it can be very noisy and echoey! There are lounges scattered around for you to relax on, use your computer, etc.

The only negative I really have is that the place was FULL of mosquitoes, even when we closed all the windows before dark. Bring some repellent! We were all complaining about it.

The hostel is located about 20min from the main train station (SMN) by bus - you need to catch the 17 and get off at Sette Santi. From the hostel, we walked to the city centre (Duomo) in about 25 minutes. Bus tickets are available from the kiosk outside the hostel.

There is a supermarket next door to the hostel (closed 1.30-4), there is a delicious pizzeria across the road, a yummy gelateria and pasticceria called Badiani two minutes down the street, and we saw a couple of other restaurants down the road.

LOCKOUT from 11am - 2pm, so you cannot access the hostel or your rooms. You can access the front garden only.

Foodwise, they offer an all you can eat 'buffet' style dinner for 8,95EU, all you can eat. We tried this the first night, but I have to say, it's not great. They had a soup, a hot pasta, and a number of salads and vegetables, plus fruit. Nothing terrible, but it was definitely average. They also have menu items, like steaks, which we did not try.

Breakfast is available for 4EU - it's a standard all you can eat breakfast - bread, spreads (jam and nutella), cereals, yoghurt, ham, cheese, juices, coffee/tea and fruit.

Free WiFi in common areas, and it worked sometimes in our room.

Didn't see any laundry facilities.

No kitchen, however there is a guest fridge, a microwave, and a kettle available for use.

Overall, I liked the place - would probably stay here again because it was very reasonably priced and not too far from the sights.
