We stayed at this hotel 5 years ago, and again this month. Pros- perfect location, wonderful breakfast, outstanding rooftop terrace (!!). Hotel arranged tickets to sights for us. Minus- staff, especially front desk is cold and unwelcoming. Made us feel we should consider ourselves lucky to be there. No bathrobes. Rooms have no frills, although you might expect that from a historical building. Still could be nicer, we probably will try another spot next time.

Room Tip: 502 has a very small terrace, which is pleasant. Very quiet room.

We stayed here for 2 nights and truly wish we had booked in for longer. The staff was SO friendly and wonderful and the location was amazing!! We used their rooftop terrace to read each afternoon after a busy day exploring the city and couldn't get over the gorgeous views. Breakfast was a beautiful big buffet and the morning staff was so lovely and quick to make sure I had my morning cappuccino! The bedrooms are on the smaller size but the bathroom was nice and spacious. The room size didn't bother us in the slightest because the rest of the common spaces were so wonderful to enjoy, plus your in Florence-- you should be out exploring the city! We truly loved it and will tell anyone going to Florence that they must stay here.

In early September 2017 we stayed at the Hotel for 3 nights. It should have been 4 nights but owing to flight delays it had to be cut down to 3.

The Hotel was really lovely and our Room was exquisite and very comfortable. It lacked nothing at all in our view.

Our luggage was not with us due to the flight delays. The Hotel liaised with our English based Travel Company and Florence Airport to try and find out where it was.

After the 3 nights we moved on to Bologna and we asked the Hotel to phone us in Bologna (our next Hotel base ) if the luggage turned up . It did and we were duly called.

Overall the Hotel was really great and we were well looked after. Our thanks go to the Hotel and the Reception Team who did all they could for us.

We would go back tomorrow without any hesitation and fully recommend the Hotel as an excellent central base in Florence

Could the Antica Torre I stayed in be a completely different hotel? We were a party of three and had two separate rooms, which were supposedly 'deluxe'. Both rooms were small with nowhere other than the bed to sit, except for two very small ladder-back chairs with a table no bigger than a plant stand. The space between the end of the bed and the TV shelf was so small I had to turn sideways to get by and I'm not very big-only 120 pounds. The bathroom was outdated and had no place to put your toothbrushes, cosmetics, etc other than a small shelf over the sink.It was a tub/shower combination with no grab bars and the shower didn't even work. The tiny step-on waste can tipped over when you tried to open the lid. The rooms were drab and outdated. The air conditioner didn't work. We were traveling with my 90 year old mother who had broken her wrist two days before our stay in Florence. Fortunately, she had a walk-in shower but unfortunately, there were no grab bars! I asked someone to put a comfortable chair in her room and to give her a proper waste basket and they did. I also asked to change our rooms but they said there were none available.
