“Best Part of Italy”
Reviewed 5 April 2012

It's been two years since I stayed at the Panerai with my then-girlfriend but I owed them a review nonetheless.

We stayed in B&B's in Venice, Florence and Italy and this was by far the best. This is in terms of service, room size, ambience and amenities.

The room was huge and in a 500-plus year old building, just a five minute walk from the Duomo. Albena was extremely helpful with making reservations at museums, recommending restaurants and giving directions. Walter's English wasn't as strong but he was SO friendly and did his best to communicate with us and made us feel incredibly welcome.

They also provided free Wi-Fi and free telephone calls to the US. The breakfast was also much better than at the other B&B's.

We loved the place so much that we barely wanted to continue on to the rest of our trip. If if visit Florence again I will definitely stay there again.

The B&B Soggiorno Panerai is perfectly located very close to the Dome. The rooms are big and very nice decorated with old style furniture, the building is an historic one, with very high ceilings. Albena and her husband were great both in keeping this B&B and also in helping us getting around. They also recommended good places to eat at reasonable prices. The only minus is that the rooms looking Via dei Servi are very noisy, especially on Saturday night.

Room Tip: Ask for a back room.

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of staying at B & B Soggiorno Panerai while visiting Florence. From the beginning when we first met our host, Albena, it was plain to see that she excels at hospitality. We stayed at their new property, closer to the Duomo, and it is a lovely place, with rooms decorated in an old world fashion. I was impressed with how large our room and bathroom were, and relieved to find that the bed was extremely comfortable.

A special note: this place is spotless! And the linens are so comfortable, including good pillows. Breakfast is generous and delicious. Albena made us eggs to order, which was very much appreciated prior to our big day of sight seeing.

Overall our visit was a very pleasant one, and we thank Albena and Walter for their hospitality and service.

Room Tip: If possible request the room overlooking the garden

We stayed only a nght, but it was memorable. Albena and Walter were very nice, the location was central, and the room was furnished nicely with a quaint look, and especially high ceilings. Albena recommended things that we could do, places that we could eat at, and took out all the stress of figuring out a new city. We will be back!

We stayed in this B&B over the Christmas holidays. The owners were so friendly and helpful in every way. The rooms were huge and really comfortable. It was a delight to stay as a family and our 14 year old love it. Close to all locations. Fantastic breakfast, plenty of food. this B and B made our stay in Italy.
