Huge suite that we could almost get lost in. Delightful and spacious hotel to explore. Rooftop terrace for evening drinks with views of the Duomo. Walking distance to museums and shopping. Front desk staff was attentive. The only negative was the surly attitude of one of the breakfast room wait staff our first morning there. All the positives outweigh that small negative.

Splendid, superb residence from elegant understated cool entry to the low rising stone staircase to the enormous suites and 6 meter 18 foot ceiling. Wonderful ancient smooth wooden lift (elevator). Annalise (A youthful Cara in "Brideshead Revisited") was most warm upon our arrival and Marcello very patient with us as we were a bit lost and bedazzled after Rolling Bones concert in Lucca and trying to find our driver. Annalise arranged a day tour guide for Florence and reservations at Villa San Michele in Fiesole. The best thing about this residence or Palazzo if you like is that it feels like a residence and not a hotel. Super quiet, beautiful antiques and art perfectly placed all around from antiquity. I detest and despise modernity with humans addicted to their infernal pocket screens looking like primates walking the streets. Here one is far away from such things that drag people to the gutter of the Moorlocks. The breakfast is superb (WHITE GLOVED WAITERS just like home sure!)on the upper floor and terrace with a fine well spectacular view over Florence from the Pitti Palace side across Arno to Piazza Ognissanti. Florence is flooded with tourists but it is still one of the wonders of the western world and should be embraced to the max. I hesitate to write such a 10 star review as it encourages people to book, but this place really deserves high praise.
Just one minute t'ing, the bathroom door (Angelina )was a bit unhinged causing scraping at the bottom against floor. Parking simple upon arrival. Leave car in very safe garage within property.
Would advise booking your own tour guide and investigate well. We had no time to do so so that is on us. I always have stayed at Excelsior as it is Starwood and the Stones were there and at St Regis, but now coming to Florence I will always stay at Palazzo Magnani Feroni. Many Thanks for a delightful stay. Tom Connor Cap d'Ail FRANCE and Cape Odd USA

With three adults We chose a family suite with two bedrooms. It was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a big range of choices in a beautiful room with a huge chandelier. The service is excellent and I'm sure they would do their utmost to get whatever your required. In the summer (at least until the end of September) there is a bar on the root terrace which has stunning views over Florence and the surrounding hills. The hotel is an old palace and has a palatial feel to it with high ceilings and beautifully decorated walls and furnishings. The hotel is South of the river and there are many excellent afordable restaurants to choose from. This was our second stay in this hotel and we will certainly choose it again when we return to Florence.

We stayed at the Palazzo Magnani Feroni at the recommendation of a friend and we were more than happy with our choice. Since we were traveling with another couple we opted for a junior suite which gave us a huge living space on top of two large bedrooms with in-suite bathrooms.

Room Tip: If traveling with another couple or family of 4, opt for one of the suites. This will give you a great living space to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing.

First impression, the reception area set the standard for the rest of our stay. We can only base our judgment on the suite we were allocated which was the CARLOTTA. The lounge room was adequate and that"s where it ended. The bathroom had two showers that were semi circular and with sliding doors closed there was no room to move, if there was one shower with a bit more room would be great. the bedroom looked like it had two secondhand single bed butted together and the mattresses sagged and were lumpy which offered a very uncomfortable sleep, they seemed way past their use by date. the air conditioner in the bed room was very noisy and rattled loudly to a point we had to turn it off to try and get some sleep. the next morning we reported our concerns to the lady at the reception desk, this was the morning of September 28. It was till the morning of September 30 when we mentioned to the gent on reception that the room still had its problems and were told there was no record of any report, but he would have it attended to. On our return to the room that evening there was a bottle of champagne in our room with an apology note for the situation. unfortunately gifts don't fix problems so we could not accept the gesture and we left the hotel on October 01 with nothing being attended to and most regrettably no one had the decency to advise us if anything had or was going to be done about the situation we were subjected to for our four nights stay. Overall very disappointing. We will never return and will make sure no one we know gets subjected to the situation we were put thru.

Room Tip: Our allocated room the CARLOTTA way below standard.
