The NH Firenze Florence hotel was our first stop in our Italy/Greece summer vacation. The hotel was in a peculiar location with a neighborhood mix of what I think was apartment dwellings and other hotels. To our dismay the room lacked attractive views but was still in walking distant to the beautiful canal, the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio and the historical district. This renaissance period hotel had remarkable ceiling heights that gave the room a very expansive feeling. The front desk staff was courteous and offered advice on restaurants, museums & provided detailed directions with maps to the Pharmacy, supermarket and train station . The breakfast was simple with a decent selection of cheeses, meats, fruits and was held in a charming little ornate dinning room...More
