My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights last May, so this review is somewhat overdue. However we can't speak highly enough of the overall package. Our corner suite, although not lavish, was large, well appointed, and comfortably furnished. We had four double glazed windows on two sides, with three of them overlooking the square. Watching the activities in the square added interest to our stay, and with the windows almost closed, we heard no noise. The suite had a cleverly concealed kitchenette that was very useful. The breakfast in the dining room was good quality, with a range of choices. The staff were especially helpful and friendly. They spoke good English, and nothing was too much trouble. All their restaurant recommendations were excellent, and as we had 8 nights this really added to the enjoyment of our stay.
The location was simply unbeatable - so many major attractions were just a short stroll away, and nothing was very far. Even the two restaurants we went to on the other side of the Arno (Trattoria Cammillo and Osteria Cinghiale Bianco) involved not much more than an interesting crossing of the Ponte Vecchio. And if you can't enjoy walking around Florence you might as well stay at home!More
