The major exhibitions space hosts two exhibitions annually with a focus on important themes and famed artists, while the Centre for Contemporary Culture Strozzina proposes thematic exhibitions which tackle a variety of contemporary issues. A rich calendar of collateral events makes a visit to Palazzo Strozzi a unique experience for all visitors, with particular attention dedicated to families and children. “Great If You Like The Special Exhibit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2012

Whether or not you want to visit the Strozzi depends on how you feel about the temporary exhibit on display when you are there. We lucked out with an exhibit on John Singer Sargeant and other Americans who spent time in Florence. It showcased a number of works by Sargent and other americans, as well as by Italians who were working in similar styles. The placards were very informative and interesting.

“Americans in Florence Exhibition”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2012

This was just gorgeous - enjoyed this far more than the art in The Uffizzi. There are more than 10 John Singer Sargent paintings - some painters you will possibly not recognise but they all painted in Florence or surrounding district. If you have a Firenze ticket, then you can use it.

“great exhibits”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2012

on our recent visit we viewed the present exhibit of art and photos involving expats who lived and loved living around Florence. It was different from most other exhibits and was very enjoyable. See it while it's still there.

Some of the best in Florence. Get a list of upcoming events from the website, choose what interest you and you will not be disappointed. The curators always put together wonderful exhibits.
