“Everything you would expect ... but.”

Of course, the Hotel Lungarno is everything you would expect. Excellent facilities, excellent restaurant, excellent service. The location is absolutely fabulous and the rooms are very well appointed. The staff were superb during my brief stay, and I have only one complaint. As a business traveller, I found that the free wifi was so slow that it was next to useless. I had to resort to my 3G on my iPhone to check critical emails and information for my meetings.
With such a hotel, that seems to get almost everything right, why let us business travellers down by something so simple as a decent wifi connection?

Hotel Lungarno staff , especially Lorenzo at the front desk and concierge , brought a wonderful smile and interest for needs, all travel and food. We loved the breakfast, cocktails and snacks overlooking the river Arno, and found the location perfect for access to the best parts of the city.
Decor is simple and elegant with a small scale luxury hotel feel and comfort. Older yet very charming and Ferragamo touches about.

Room Tip: We asked ahead for the river view rooms and the had small balconies for fresh air and breathtaking s...

We recently spent three nights at the Hotel Lungarno and absolutely loved it. The room was elegant and had a beautiful view of the Ponte Vecchio (worth the upgrade). The room was a good size and the marble bathroom was great with a beautiful big bath and Ferragamo products. The service at the hotel was great from check-in to check-out. The hotel has a beautiful bar in the lobby with large windows overlooking the river and the Ponte Vecchio, a great place for an afternoon drink after a days sightseeing. The location of the hotel is great, being on the other side of the river you are away from the huge crowds, but still close enough to walk everywhere. There are some great little restaurants nearby as well. It was about a 15min walk from the main train station.
Being owned by the Ferragamo group you also get free entry to the Salvatore Ferragamo museum which is worth a visit. A great hotel that I would easily recommend.

Room Tip: Worth upgrading to a river view room.

We chose Hotel Lungarno for the location right on the Arno. We upgraded to a river-front deluxe room on a higher floor and it was worth it. The room was spacious, especially by European standards. There was a nice bowl of fresh fruit waiting for us when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of closet space. The only strange thing was that the flat screen TV was on a stand right at the foot of the bed, so you could actually kick it while you are sleeping. The bathroom was great and the whole room was very nicely decorated. The balcony was enormous and pretty. The hotel itself was gorgeous - understated, elegant, soothing and very comfortable. The staff was very nice and accommodating, whether we needed to borrow an umbrella or make a dinner reservation.

The best thing about Lungarno though, has to be the location. It's literally steps from the Ponte Vecchio. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Lungarno is a simple, elegant boutique hotel with tons of charm.
The staff is attentive and helpful, and the accommodations are clean and comfy.
Bar and restaurant are minimal in scale, but are sufficient for breakfast or a quick bite.
Only complaint was the electricity in the room...air conditioner was tempermental.
Heard same message from relatives who also stayed at hotel.
