We visited the restaurant around 6pm for an early evening drink but stayed to eat dinner and boy are we glad we did.
By 8pm they were queuing outside since all tables were full. Varied nationalities and age groups used the restaurant.
The menu was varied to suit for all tastes and there were plenty of dishes which I considered from fish, pasta, beef , lamb and veal dishes.
The wife was eating light so we shared a Florentine bruchetter; the tomatoes were so ripe and sweet.
She ate a tomato pasta and mozzarella.
I need a meat fix but I could no way manage a fiorenza T bone steak; local speciality weighing a kilo of beef so I choose the mixed grill to taste. I was not disappointed since the chicken was nicely seasoned so was the pork sausage. The lambchop was very tender and so was the beef steak which was served with potatoes. A nice glass of Chianti helped the meal to go down.
We were pretty full so we shared a caramel custard which was light and fluffy.
Coffee in Italy is always good dark and strong.
The service was fine and we ate at our own pace without being hurried.
All tables were full by 7pm.
The bill was reasonable and if we return to Florence then we would surely eat there again.
