“Fantastic villa with stunning sea views towards Calabria from large garden terrace.”
Reviewed 7 June 2012 for a stay in May 2012

Villa Francesca is a beautiful spacious villa with everything you need for a perfect holiday. The garden terrace is full of flowers with wonderful views of the sea and lots of room for alfresco eating and relaxing.
The Manageress Luisa who speaks excellent English and is always on hand with her vast local knowedge of places to eat and visit and this enabled us to get the very best out of our 7 day holiday. The local transport, small yellow bus, passes the Villa frequently throughtout the day and only costs 1 euro, whiich we found very handy for carrying our shopping as it was so beautiful we tended to eat at the Villa most days.
The Sicilian hospitality is amazing. We even met other members of the family including their dog, Sophia who had just had two puppies and my Wife considered putting the golden one in her suitcase and bringing him home!. We will most certainly return to Villa Francesca.

“Did all we required and more...”

Friendly and amenable host. Good communications prior to stay. The apartment is just as it looks. Comfortably furnished and an easy 5 min walk to the town centre. There is a small flight of steps to get down to the apartment, but none within the apartment itself. The rooms were just as we needed with a kingsize bed for us parents, and a choice of 2 single beds in the other bedroom for our teenage son. The kitchen is well supplied with all the items we needed, and the lounge is large with plenty of chairs / big sofa etc. As has been mentioned in previous reviews access to the large terrace is excellent and even though we stayed in mid February we had many hours enjoying the views. The motorway is 'beneath' the the town as previously reviewed, but what they failed to say is that it is literally below, within a tunnel so you never hear so see any motorway traffic. We very much enjoyed our short stay in Taormina out of season and would return.

“home from home: excellent friendly service, stunning views, a very comfortable apartment”

Impossible to fault as a holiday location. Within a few minutes walk of the town centre, note that a modicum of fitness is required for this resort as the town is built on the steep slope of a hill.
Taormina is a good base for exploring the eastern half of Sicily. A motorway runs along the coast beneath the town; heading south on it will take you to Catania, Syracuse and beyond; heading north will take you to Messina, Milazzo (gateway to the Eolian Islands) and ultimately to Palermo, the island's capital.
We arrived on a hot September's day. The beers waiting for us in the fridge, also the bread and fruit provided, made us feel at home immediately.

“Perfect location-lovely set up!”

This was a lovely apartment that certainly met our expectations. It was in a good location and the owner was very accommodating. When we arrived he had stocked the kitchen/refrigerator so that we didn't have to shop immediately. Americans should know that only one bathroom has an enclosed shower. The other has a jacuzzi tub with a shower head. We had fun trying to keep the water contained to the tub! We especially liked having a garage for parking and a large patio to enjoy the view.

“Worm meeting – a good start for holiday!”

We have spent in Francesca apartment 2 amazing weeks…..Very worm check-in after a long trip was what we needed. In the refrigerator we found cold wine, water, watermelon and all necessary things to relax and not to run to the shop immediately. The apartments itself is big enough to feel comfortable when you travel with friends. For me it was very important to be along some time a day and it was very easy to do with a guestroom and huge terrace. Close to the apartment – public market where we bought every day fresh fruits, cheese and FISH!!! We tried to eat in the evenings at home as it is very relaxing and romantic atmosphere on the terrace and kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to make a good dinner (even grill and dishwasher). The location is pretty well, it is 5 min by walk to cableway but we didn’t use any transport but use pedestrian small streets with amazing views to get down to the beach. I will for sure return to Francesca in 1-2 years)))Thanks a lot for Sicilian hospitality)))
