Owner description: Take a peak at this "shameful" fountain, one of Palermo's revealing attractions.

Set in a cute square in Palermo's old town center, it is a harmonious combination of elegant staircases and many large statues, some of which representing Palermo's rivers. The palaces around the square are also of great architectural value. Definitely worth a stop and a read of the origin of its nickname.

A large fountain with a lot of nude people - or statues. I found it quite impressive, but then again I have a thing for fountains and waterfalls. The place surrounding it is also nice, by the way.

In the very center of Palermo opposite the town hall, is this big fountain. Called the fountain of shame, because of all naked sculptures. Well the men's testiles have been removed ancient time, because they were too offensive...
Also the fountain was a synonyms for the corruption in the government andeasing elite of Palermo

This is the central-point set-piece fountain of Palermo. Unfortunately it has Nineteenth-Century railings around it and it is presently closed for restoration. When restored, it will be a fine sight. The statuary is of variable quality but there are some amusing faces. The setting in the square is very fine.
