Ideally situated just outside the city center, the botanic garden really offers a nice and quiet environment for a relaxing walk.

The second star is because they do have some interesting trees, but the smaller plants are hard to see among the fields of weeds, especially nettles, and in the back part of the park even the walkways are hard to make out. What a pity, since these gardens must have been really nice many years ago. If they were free OK - but they charge EUR 6 euros to get in. I've been in botanical gardens in about 40 countries, and these are right down there with those of much poorer countries in terms of maintenance.

Worth taking a walk around, pleasant way to spend an hour and not too expensive. Visited when there was a plant fair on which was interesting too

I went here in a winter afternoon and there were around 18 degrees so was a pleasure walking among the trees. The park was Pretty empty cause probably of the season, but this was good for relaxing. Lots of plants and fountains inside. in the middle of the park there was a big round fountain full of turtles, really nice. The entry is not really expensive and it worths a visit if you pass that way...

Don't miss this run-down gem of a garden in the city center. The succulent collection alone is worth the visit.
