We would not have thought about taking this tour but for recommendation from folks at Atripical. So glad we did it! A leisurely paced walk through an interesting building and grounds with loads of history.

Just go and see to understand. It is also an example of great restoration. Don't miss this place in Catania. The neighborhood around has been requalified too thanks to the fact that the college has moved in. So it is nice just to wander around.

Beautiful Monastery - large building complex to see. Cost 6 Euro per person. Be sure to make an advance reservation - don't just show up for a tour - especially for the English language guided tour.

I am always amazed at just how much goes on in a place like this, then the age and the construction and reconstruction. The rebuilding after destruction hits and now the wonderful use...there is a god. :-)
