This appartment is just as charming as it appears in the photographs - but what we didn't expect was that the owner, Emanuele, was at least as charming as his property!

Nothing was too much trouble, he gave us some great tips on where to eat (Romani was perhaps the best meal we had on the island) and all in all he really made the end of a fantastic holiday in Sardinia something really special.

Grazie Emanuele!

Emanuele and his wife are great hosts; we felt spoilt and at home all the time, and the whole staff worked hard to keep our apartment clean and comfortable beyond our needs. The position couldn't be more convenient, especially if you're visiting Alghero for the first time: all places of major interest are easily reacheable, and anyway Emanuele has a very insightful knowledge of the city and its attractions that he will indeed share with you.

Room Tip: YOu can't go wrong whatver you choose, but make sure you communicate your desires and needs well in advance.

B&B in the city centre, we appreciated in particular the cleanliness, and the warm atmosphere all around. Highly commended. We have been welcome by the friendly and helpful owner and then it was just like being home, enjoining the sea and the beauty of Alghero

This place was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Air conditioning worked well, and the room had its own espresso maker, sink, microwave, and refrigerator. The owner was friendly and very helpful in making recommendations of sites to see, where to park, and restaurants to go to.

Emanuele, the owner of the suites, was a brilliant host.

He met us at the premises even though our flight didn't arrive until very late. Gave us a full rundown of everything and his mobile number if we ever needed anything. (Incidentally, we only needed to call him once, when the cleaners forgot to put towels in our room - he was at our door with fresh towels within ten minutes).

He recommended a very, very nice restaurant/wine bar which was probably the nicest meal we had during our stay in Alghero, and a couple of his bar recommendations were also excellent.

The room itself was lovely. A small self-contained apartment with kitchette, posh coffee machine, a full fridge (replenished every day or two with juice, fruit, milk, biscuits, cereal etc) and upstairs bedroom. Big bathroom with all you'd expect.

The location was amazing as well, smack in the centre of the old town near the convent church.

I would very much recommend staying here to anybody and everybody. It was Emanuele's birthday the day after we left, we even felt compelled to buy him a present as he was so kind and helpful to us during our stay.

Room Tip: If - like me - you're over 6ft tall, you may find the stairs and upstairs bedroom a tad short on headspace as this is an old converted dorm used by Monks hundreds of years ago. Don't let this put you off, though.
