If this "villa" was anywhere else it wouldn't perhaps have the same prestige. It's located on a promontory about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town. It's clean, well staffed and the beds are comfortable. We arrived very late and hungry and were delighted that the barman was willing to go into the kitchen and make us a couple of sandwiches. We didn't eat in the restaurant apart from at breakfast. It's a shame that the Italian hotel breakfast is so much worse than many other European countries. Bread, ham, cheese and a selection of pastries dominate the buffet.
Booking via Expedia entitled us to a Spa credit but the hotel couldn't provide a time suitable for us to use it on the Friday evening or Saturday morning. We used the indoor pool in the Spa which is filled with saltwater. Very relaxing.More
