So the roman theatre is under refurb but the museum of the romans is amazing set in a building that was a Jesuit monastery set back in to the oil. The views from the windows are stunning but the statuary, mosaics and glass are awesome and that is only the ancient artefacts. It is just across the river from the St Peter bridge. rather steep to walk around outside but the lift takes you deep inside the museum. another very good reason to have a Verona Card - great value if you are sight seeing.

Teatro Romano was recommended to us by our Viatour guide & we were so glad that we visited as the views of Verona were magnificent! It is quite a climb to reach the top but well-worth the effort!

-The lady at reception/entrance is NASTY. Horrible and incredibly unfriendly with a bad attitude.
-The theatre is fairly impressive although you'll have seen everything there is to see within a couple of minutes. Unfortunately, there is a modern stage and modern deating covering the bits I would have wanted to see/would have found interesting.
-You'll be very glad to find there is more to see, and that it is air-conditioned: The actual museum is lovely although staff could again have been friendlier (and, come on, know at least very basic English like 'around the corner, please' so you don't have to awkwardly and rudely usher us about)
-And the views and photo opportunities up there are fantastic so for that, do have a look!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed our trip here today. For €4.50 you get entry into the Roman Theatre, a 10th Century church with some interesting history, the museum and a pretty outdoor area with spectacular views over the city. I thought the museum was well worth a visit. It's nicely laid out and has lots of beautiful artifacts and statues from the Verona area. Overall, it's a great way to spend an hour or 2 away from the crowds and enjoy the local history and scenery.

We had read that the views were great here so thought we would check it out. The history of the area the buildings are on is very interesting. There are ruins, the theatre, chapel and museum from different time periods. The theatre and ruins were great to look at and walk around. The chapel you can't go in, this was fine with us. We then got the lift up to the museum. Some of the exhibits were interesting. Most of it was boring for us as we aren't into lots of statues and bronze pieces. Plus the staff followed us around like hawks. Not being funny but I'm nearly 40! This just annoyed us and made us want to leave. The views are great though.
