This was a delightful hotel in a quiet residential part of Venice. But only 100 yds from the main street and less than 5 minutes to the Rialto Bridge. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel only offers bed and breakfast and so they offered tea with biscuits and cakes in the dining room between 4-6 in the afternoon on a help yourself basis. And then from 6-8 you could have a glass of wine or prosecco and nibbles - we had a glass most evening before we went out for supper and met many of the other guests staying in the hotel and we able to swop stories of places to go and visit in the city. A really nice social event. Well done UNA for doing this - we loved it. The hotel is an old building and beautifully decorated on a small side canal. The breakfasts were good. Our room was in an annexe to the main hotel with a separate entrance way and the double room was rather small but we were only paying for a standard room which was very clean. We were given excellent instructions from the receptionist before we arrived on which water bus stop to get off at and the way to walk to the hotel, we also received information on guides tours that we could take and these were booked for us at the reception desk. We have told lots of friends about this excellent hotel already and will probably use another UNA hotel in another Italy city in the future.

Room Tip: The classic/standard rooms are a bit small - so perhaps ask for the next size up, but the bed was kingsize and very comfortable.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable and the customer service was exceptional from taking our bags to our room to the front desk staff helping us with other plans. The breakfast was excellent with a nice assortment of items and again great service.

We were in room 102 which was a corner room overlooking the canal. It had a king size bed, a couch, two sitting chairs with a little round table for coffee service, and a desk. The bathroom was very spacious with a large jetted bath tub. We found this hotel to be centrally located. A short walk to the Main Strada with lots of shopping and restaurants. Also close to the Ghetto area and of course many beautiful back alleys and water ways. Also very close to the ferry station that takes you to the Marco Polo Airport. For the airport, you can take a water taxi for about 125 Euros or what we decided to do is take the Ferry at 15 Euros per person. It runs about every half hour - check the schedule to be sure - and it takes about 45 minutes to get to the airport. And then about a 10 minute walk to get to the terminal. Very easy and cost effective. The hotel also offers free breakfast every morning which was very nice and in the afternoons they have free snacks with juice or coffee and in the evening they serve light sandwiches, chips, and snacks along with juice or wine, again all complimentary. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoy!!

Room Tip: Our corner room was very large

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights for his birthday.
When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised, it's a beautiful, elegant hotel set in a very peaceful area. We were greeted by very friendly and polite staff.

The room was a decent size, clean with a nice bathroom and amenities and air conditioning. There was a safe in the room to use for your valuables and decent storage for clothes etc.

Breakfast was a buffet which was nicely laid out with plenty of choice and a fresh pot of coffee was brought to our table when we entered.

I loved the location as I said before it was in a lovely, quiet area almost hidden out of the way but about a minute walk to the hustle and bustle so you weren't disturbed by any of the noise. If you do book here, make sure you have a map as we did struggle to find it initially (it was almost midnight when we arrived!)

As it was my partners birthday, we had a lovely surprise when we returned to our room after a day out to find a note and a box of chocolates for him. It was such a wonderful touch!

All in all, a great hotel with wonderful staff. Service was great and I would highly recommend it. I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is beautiful however be aware that you may end up around the corner in another building. We had a quiet clean room in another building without hotel nighttime staff. If that is an issue for you then you should verify your room location with the hotel first. I think this is a not an unusual problem in Venice. Just wish the hotel was upfront about where our rooms were beforehand. The bathroom is really small and the shower did not drain quickly enough if you ran the water at full blast. Breakfast was good and had all that we needed. Staff excellent.
