“We want to go back!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2012

Just stayed here with my teenage daughter for only 1 night and wish it had been longer!
It took a while for us to find the shuttle service to the hotel, but once we did, it was worth it!
The hotel is located on Guidecca Island, just across from Venice. It was nice to go back to our quiet hotel after walking around Venice with all the tourists.

Being Hilton Gold members paid off since they upgraded us to a beautiful suite that was incredible! We were also able to use points for the room, so I can't speak for the value since it's a high end Hilton.

We had a beautiful large living room, mini kitchen with burners and refrigerator, separate king bedroom and beautiful marble bathroom with lots of amenities! It was luxurious and the bed was very comfortable, especially for Italy where most beds are extra firm.

The executive lounge must have been closed for renovation, so they had a separate area in the lobby area sectioned off for us where you could get drinks, snacks, breakfast, and appetizers. Otherwise, it appeared that food and drinks were pretty expensive.

Every employee we met was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we found what we were looking for. One even walked us to the Executive lounge from our building to be sure we didn't get lost.
The hotel is beautiful! There's a free boat shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off at 2 different locations on Venice every half hour or so.

A word of advice for those coming in by train (Santa Lucia station)...save yourself a lot of time and frustration by taking a water taxi, especially if you have luggage. It's not easy to find your way to the hotel by walking and while there are some signs, they can be confusing. You can take a vaporetto (public water taxi) for about 5euros to the other side of the island near Guidecca Island or to St. Mark's Square where there's another Hilton shuttle stop or you can pay a lot more to take a water taxi and just go directly to the hotel.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for writing about us.
I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the accommodation in our Hotel and our services.
We appreciate and thank you also for your comments regarding the room upgrade you have received as a HH Gold member. The Executive Lounge is indeed located on the ground floor, in the vicinity of the Front Desk where guests can enjoy great canal views.
Thank you very much for being our guest and we hope to welcome you soon again.

I simply cannot imagine a better vacation experience in Venice. This beautiful new Hilton sits directly across the Giudecca Canal from Venice - a 5 minute free shuttle ride away. The architecture is fascinating as the hotel has been constructed within the infrastructure of a historic flour mill. The lobby is spacious and elegant. The rooms and the view take your breath away. Our corner room had seven windows in it - three overlooking the main canal and four overlooking the small canal that leads to island of Giudecca. We definitely plan to return and would not consider staying anywhere else. Magical.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room.

Stayed here as a couple with both of our mothers. They stayed in the room next door. No soundproofing we could here everything they said and likewise. When we arrived we went to the bar to get something to eat. We ordered toasted sandwiches which took 45 min to prepare and were cold. Water for tea was very cold asked for really hot water which we got but then cups were taken away and had to ask again for new cups. Service not good. Don't order the crispy suckling pig in the restaurant as it was not crispy. Very fatty with very stodgy rice. We did pick but when asked if ok and we said not we just got a shrug. Didn't expect any refund but with the prices charged would have expected a free coffee. Good location and ferry to st marks square runs on time but they do need to sort out service and sound proofing of rooms.

Great hotel and the roof top bar was nice to have a drink at night while enjoying Venice at night.
Breakfast selection was great, got a champagne for breakfast was a bit unusual but worth trying.

Stayed here on an Insight tour, so our rooms would have been the cheaper end of the spectrum, but still luxurious and comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the buffet breakfast was excellent. I would love to stay here again.
