I recently stayed here and found it a great experience for the price. staff were freindly the rooms clean and the breakfast adequate. the location is not far from the Ca'd'Oro ferry stop if arriving from the train station. then a 5 minute walk will take you to the Northern ferry stop to get a direct ferry to the airport, all very easy.
The shopping strip is just around the corner with supermarkets, local restaurants and cafes available.
it took me a while to find the hotel every time i returned as there as so many side laneways and passages to get lost in but then isn't that the fun of Venice.

This time we took a watertaxi up the Grand Canal to our stop (yellow line), Ca' d'Oro. It was a little confusing as the main stop was under construction and it was raining forcing us to stop and ask directions. Once found it was easy finding it thereafter. The room was large and well appointed but the bathroom was the size of that on a cruise ship (compact). An elevator had been added to the hotel which was nice. The breakfast buffet was good, better than normal. We stayed here 4 days and made our way on foot to the train station twice (comfortable walk) and St Mark's, the Doge's Palace and waterbus to Murano and Burano twice. We were also close to the Rialto bridge. As a side note the hotel provided good umbrellas and I understand footwear during high tide.

Room Tip: Our room did open onto a canal which was rustic. Staff were very accommodating.

We stayed at this hotel after our cruise, The hotel is nice decorated is small but it had everything you need , very clean and the people at the front desk are very helpful their is a lot of places to eat around the hotel. Their is a terrace with a very nice view of Venice canals. I choose this hotel cause it has their own dock for water taxis so is very convenient if you have to get pick up or drop off , we had to be at the airport at 4am so this hotel was the best idea . I would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable and, not necessarily the norm in Venice, very quiet. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help guests. Although there is no bar, evening drinks were available on request.

Room Tip: pay extra for a canal view
