Stayed here as a party of 3 for our first stop in Italy. The hotel is within easy access of the bus station, train station & water taxi stops. There are porters at every opportunity around public transport stops to help with your bags if needed.
We arrived before official checkin & were able to leave our suitcases to go exploring.
Our triple room was on the top floor with the 3rd bed in the roof space. There is no lift so its a lot of stairs with a heavy bag! The room was spacious, traditionally decorated in what I imagine to be Venetian style & the bathroom clean & functional with very hot water. Freezing aircon which was definitely needed.
Breakfast was continental where you helped yourself although it was a tight squeeze during busy times! Nice crockery & tables cleaned quickly.
Downside: the older gentleman at reception who I presume to be the manager/owner lacks customer care & couldn't even raise a smile or acknowledgement when asking for your key. Our room leaked during a heavy thunderstorm & the rain poured down the curtains & from the ceiling beams at the left hand window!

This hotel has the rudest manager sitting at the reception. The room was ok but no Canal view. The rest of the hotel staff are nice and helpful. Enrico in particular. This is a 2 minute walk from the train station of Venice which is the best thing about it. Also the fish in the basin is nice. The breakfast is also pretty decent. It's a shame the manager is so rude.

Firstly the positives. As mentioned the location is brilliant, 1 min from train station and the distance to 2 water stops. Even though it is a busy location our room was very quiet. The negatives. When we arrived met by a pleasant young girl who helpfully checked us in. When we went into the room found it was a double not 2 singles and the safe did not work. When we informed the reception we were met by a rude lady who made the inference it was our error on the booking and we couldn't read the safe instructions!
The room was too small for 2 people and I had to step over my suitcase to get to the door. The TV had bad reception on all channels and the hairdryer in the bathroom was broken and contained hair. Our room was at the back of the hotel and appeared to be an extra 'wing'.
Breakfast was basic continental and staff were helpful and pleasant.
As we were only staying 2 nights the great location out wayed the small room.

This hotel was a lovely place to rest our heads after a busy day in Venice. The staff were very pleaseant and accomidating. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, the docor was beautifuly traditional. Breakfast had a nice continental selection and comfotorble opening and closing time. Location was extremely convent as it was close to the stations of all sorts, considoring this the room was lovely and quiet. Would recomend this hotel for every sort of traveller!

Our hotel room was bigger than what one would expect from hotel rooms in Venice. It was outdated, which some would probably consider added to the charm of a Venetian hotel. Our room smelled funny, though -- like a granny's perfume. Would recommend to hotel owner/manager to have unscented/neutral rooms to accomodate asthmatics who may have perfume allergies. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was friendly. Reception can use an extra person, though. We travelled with a toddler on a stroller and needed some help getting down. We tried to contact reception for help but informed us that no one could aid us at the moment since only one person was doing most of the work at that time. We were told that if help such as this was needed, we had to inform them ahead of time (like an hour or so).
