I had no idea where to stay in Venice, and antiche figure was one of the best rated hotels on tripadvisor. I usually prefer modern decorated hotels, but I enjoyed the style of the room, specially the bathroom.
Seeing the reviews here, I was already expecting a good hotel and they really came through. The staff is really helpful, breakfast was great as well. Overall a very good hotel for the price.
One tip: Avoid the free trip to Murano. I accepted and didn't really liked it. You basically get in a boat and go to the place where they make the glass crafts, and the seller tries (almost forces you, actually) to sell you some really expensive glass art pieces. They're nice, but all I wanted was some souvenirs, not 10,000.00 euro statues of murano glass. If you intend to buy, then I guess it's worth your while.
