For the price and location, it is one of a catch in Venice and easily accessible from the ferry stop of St. Angelo. The decoration done up with a touch of Venetian Style so if there's anyone who is looking for it with an affordable pricing, look no further. The room is small and clean but come again, very few hotels in Venice are big. Services from the staff is excellent but the furniture are a little run down, I personally got a cupboard with a broken key hole.
The attractions of Venice is also a walk away with St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge easily reached by foot.
P.S. Do not purchase the map of Venice from the tourist center, this hotel provides you with one and gives you direction to all the nearby attractions.

I stayed in a "single room" (two single beds in a narrow little room) for two nights in July 2011. Perfectly adequate for me as a solo traveller, however, I wouldn't be so keen to squeeze two people in there. I was very impressed with the quality of the service from the front desk. I was always greeted warmly and when I couldn't get the wifi to work on my iPod, the evening receptionist let me use a laptop and poured me a couple of complimentary wines! The included breakfast was absolutely fantastic - the best of all the hotels and b&bs I stayed at during a 5 week trip across Europe. There was a nice muesli, other cereals, juices, coffee, different flavoured yoghurts, boiled eggs and a variety of pastries. The hotel is located close to a water bus stop and just a short walk to St Mark's square. I booked online in advance and paid in full a non-refundable discounted rate at the time of booking.

Basic hotel, very clean & sophisticated, but small room & the smallest bathroom I've used ever. Very friendly staff & very helpful. Enriquo advised us on restaurants, goldola & things to do which was very apt. The hotel/room decor was interesting with printed color wallpapers giving royal look. No elevator but we only stayed 2nd floor. The hotel is a 7 minute walk & was hard to find & nobody in town knew the street from St. Angelo water bus stop, but once found it was easy to navigate around. The hotel next to Musee Ca Fortuny and 1 min walk from Campo S Anzolo. We wouldnt mind staying there again.

Such a nice little hotel that's actually quite central to all the sites in Venice. The staff and management were most obliging and there was something to suite all tastes at breakfast. Rooms were kept spotlessly clean with lovely white fluffy bath towels, the shower rooms were a tad dated, but as most of the buildings are fairly old it comes as no suprise and is perfectly adequate for all your needs. It was a pleasure to come back to after a hard day's walk around all the architecture.

Room Tip: There are stairs to climb which may be a problem to some visitors, if so a room on the first floor w...

I stayed in Hotel San Giorgio for three nights in July 2011. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. The check-in went smoothly and efficiently. The gentleman also gave us a city map immediately, which I found very nice. Our hotel room, number 15 (standard double), was quite compact but nicely furbished in "baroque" style, which probably befits Venice. Room had smallish double bed, a small table and a cupboard with safe. There was a small minibar (empty - but there is complimentary water in the room) and a tiny TV. Bathroom was ok, but very dated. Room and bathroom were perfectly clean. A bit of a problem in the room was the airco, which worked, but was not very efficient (room felt stuffy if we didnt have it on full power). On one day we noticed a bad stench in the room, but we figured it came from the canal outside - so that might me a problem all over Venice. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but not worse than in other places in Italy (the usual Italian dry breadrolls and so on). Nespresso machine was a small plus. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout. Hotel is located close to Rialto/Piazza San Marco (each maybe 10mins walk) but far enough from the crowds of tourists that visit Venice. Vaporetto stop (S'Angelo) is about 5mins away and far less crowded than Rialto stop (which is the next stop).

Overall for me it was an enjoyable stay, mostly due to central location, friendly staff and absence of any major negative points.
