We achieved a good winter rate and stayed 3 nights.

Immediately on arrival we knew we had made the right choice.

Our room was clean, warm and immaculate. Breakfast was good (bread rolls always a little stale). There was though a good choice, Noteworthy was the very pleasant waitress.

Location is a plus with a nice stroll to San Marco.

Rooms are smallish (as is the whole hotel) but we were 100% satisfied.

Room tip: All face lagoon!

Location wise is quite good as it is 3 minutes walk from the Arsenale stop. From the airport it takes about 1 hour boat ride. The check in was fast and efficient and the bellboy is very helpful. The receptionist helped us to book some fantastic restaurant for dinner - they managed to get us a table eventhough it is during the festive period. The room is average size with vert comfortable bed and pillow. The room is elegantly decorated. The bathroom is well equipped and has a very classical look to it. Breakfast comes with a good selections. A very nice hotel with excellent view and just a short walk you will reach most of the tourist attraction.

This accommodation is quirky in that the rooms are modelled after various ships. Our room was on the second floor and being at the far end of the Grand Canal, a fair distance from St Mark's square. I have some mobility issues but the bridges along the canal had ramps which were OK to use. The Hotel staff were thoroughly professional and arranged tickets to a concert that I wanted to attend and the breakfast staff were also very helpful. The 'accessible' room was a little disappointing as the bathroom design and disability shower recess didn't really meet the requirements needed. ( I ended up using the shower over the bath which was Ok but not what I really wanted.. ) Realistically this hotel was all about location and ease of access which was excellent.

Room tip: From this hotel the water bus is easily reached and most of the main attractions of Venice are within reasonable walking distance..

We stayed for 3 nights in January for a birthday weekend trip to Venice. The hotel is located 2 minutes walk from the vaparretto stop Arsenale. It takes 1 hour 10 minutes direct from the airport and is the most civilised and relaxing airport transfer ever. We arrived late afternoon and saw the most spectacular sunset as we sailed round Murano, the Lido and Venice to arrive almost at the door. San Marco is a picturesque 10 minute walk away.

The hotel is small and perfect for shorter stays. Staff are wonderful, incredibly helpful and welcoming. The room was immaculate (room 302 with gob smacking views across the lagoon front to the Doge's Palace and San Marco). Double bed, table, chair. Good wardrobe space with safe. Even a mini bar for a nightcap or emergency bottle of water. Bathroom is very well appointed with toiletries and plenty of towels. Everything was spotlessly clean and decor is in the style of a panelled dark wood historic boat (Bucintoro/Bucentaur was the state barge used by Doges of Venice past). Bed was very comfy.

Breakfast was classic continental with a few hot options that can be ordered for a charge. But you just need to fuel up so you're ready to wander around the local neighbourhood and further afield.

You'll find plenty of amazing Osterias in the back street where you can pick up delicious bacari snacks (Venetian tapas) and a glass of Spritz (try the local favourite Select rather than Aperol, slightly more sour but really refreshing). We also visited the Doges Palace, Peggy Guggenheim, Jewish Ghetto, Basilica San Marco, Murano, Burano, Cannareggio and Castello neigbourhoods, Fondazione Querini Stampalia. All bloomin' amazing. Honestly, Venice is jaw droppingly beautiful/amazing/interesting. It's hard to have a dud trip. Would recommend going out of season: I suspect the crowds and smells in hot weather can be overwhelming.

Would happily book this hotel again. Perfect for our long weekend. Thank you!

Room tip: All rooms have lagoon views. You can't go wrong. Charges depend on room size.

A bucintoro is a Venetian Barge and all rooms are named after boats ours was Jolina a racing yacht. We'd got a Super deal and had upgraded to a suite which was perfect and had 3 windows directly overlooking the lagoon. Well worth the upgrade.

Made to look like a boat it was warm and snug but with windows you can fling open.

Breakfast was is the small but perfectly formed dining rooms and offered many choices and the coffee service was prompt which is a big thing for me so I was impressed.

Easy walking distance to st marks square and then on to the rest of Venice easy reach of the vapperetto stops.

Plenty of restaunts in the vicinity would totally recommend I pick this from trip advisor reviews and they weren't wrong!

They were also very helpful in advance of arrival arranging the dinner our first night for my husbands birthday.
