My family booked tickets for the 4 hour boat tour which would take us to the nearby islands for a visit. The ticket and ticket counter personal told us to arrive 15 minutes before departure. We did so diligently.
To our great disappointment when it reached our turn to board the boat we were told that the boat was full and it was he last boat departing. There was a family of five who also could not board even though they booked tickets 2 DAYS in advance.
What the company did was deceive their customers by overselling tickets (selling more than the boat’s capacity). This was RIDICULOUS because it was our last day in Venice.
The ticketing officer rudely told us to come back the next day and brushed us aside by stating we could get a refund.
This service is clearly meant to deceive and is an unethical form of sales.
What is the point of overselling tickets to entire FAMILIES? I would recommend the public transport instead.
Clearly this has been happening for a while and many have been rudely disappointed. We are just one of the families who have walked away feeling cheated.
I would rate this as ZERO if I could because the service was beneath anything decent.
